Terry Peak Ski Area, located 3 miles west of Lead/Deadwood, is 7,100 feet in elevation with a vertical drop of 1,100 feet. Five chairlifts serve the facility on 420 acres for all ability levels. The "Kussy Express" and the "Suprise Express" are South Dakota's only high-speed quad chairlifts. Terry Peak averages 150 inches of snowfall per year, combined with a state-of-the-art snowmaking system on 60% of the total terrain. On-site rental shop offering skiing and snowboarding equipment. PSIA and AASI certified instruction Learning Center is available. Food and beverage services offered at both lodges, as well as a retail shop. Typical seasonal operation from Thanksgiving through April 1.
